Cookies and measurement
Cookies and similar browser storage can remember preferences, support sign-in or help measure a service. We separate necessary functions from optional measurement. A service can send data without setting a cookie, so our choices cover optional network collection too.
Your control
Optional services start off. You can accept all, reject all, or choose individual services. Use Cookie settings in the footer to reopen your choices and withdraw permission at any time. Rejecting optional services does not block public content, email signup or necessary account functions. Choosing cookies never gives permission for marketing email.
Necessary preferences and functions
The consent preference cookie is named fs_consent_letterferry-public on the public site and fs_consent_letterferry-app in the application. It records your choices and policy revision, currently version 1, for up to 182 days. These preferences are separate for each surface. A changed policy revision, expired choice or cleared cookie can cause the consent request to appear again.
Connected account sign-in uses Clerk's necessary authentication storage. Supabase supports application data, and Resend processes requested email and confirmed subscriptions. Earlier public form submissions were processed by Formspree. These service requests are not optional analytics, and rejecting analytics does not cancel an email subscription or delete an account. Vercel may process hosting and security request logs to deliver and protect the site.
PostHog analytics
When configured and accepted, PostHog measures public page use and selected product actions so we can understand whether features work. Its project-specific browser storage may remember an anonymous measurement identifier. LetterFerry's authenticated product measurement is separate from shared editorial or affiliate analytics. Mailing documents, recipient addresses and subscriber email addresses must not be included. Session replay is not enabled by this choice.
Vercel Web Analytics
When configured and accepted, Web Analytics measures visits and page use. It has a separate choice even though its measurement does not rely on a conventional persistent analytics cookie. Hosting the site on Vercel does not by itself grant this measurement permission.
Vercel Speed Insights
When configured and accepted, Speed Insights measures page loading and responsiveness from visitors' browsers. This is a separate optional service from visit analytics. It sends performance measurements and technical context needed to interpret them.
Sentry error reporting
When configured and accepted, Sentry receives error reports and limited technical context to help diagnose failures. It is optional here. Error reporting is configured to exclude mailing content, document attachments, personal addresses and private email-link tokens. Sentry session replay is not enabled by this choice.
Withdrawal and browser controls
Withdrawal stops new optional collection and clears the integration's accessible browser storage. It cannot recall requests already sent or automatically delete provider-side records. Browser settings can also block or remove storage, but removing necessary sign-in storage may sign you out. Preferences apply to the browser and site where you choose them.
Available choices reflect configured services; an unavailable service does not start merely because it is described on this page. If the settings dialog fails to load, optional services remain blocked. For information or a data request, read our privacy notice or contact Focus State.
